The Morphie juice pack air cleanly vaults over the iPhone’s one major failing: it’s pitiful battery life. You’re lucky to get a day and a half’s use out of the iPhone 3G (or even the latest 3G S, for that matter). Morphie comes the rescue with an all-in-one battery extender and hard case. The hard case is beautifully designed and neatly hugs the iPhone. It’s built in battery almost doubles the useful life of the iPhone’s standard battery. The case itself protects the phone from day to day bumps and scrapes and only adds a few millimeters to its overall thickness. Fitting the case to the phone is a breeze. You simply slide the phone into the case and snap on a cover at the end. The only downside is it adds a bit of weight to the phone (around 50g). If you throw your phone in a bag this isn’t a problem. It only becomes an issue if you carry it around in your pocket. After a while the extra weight becomes a bit of a pain. For this reason we tend to use the juice pack when we know we’re going to be out of the office for a long hard day. All in all the juice pack air is the perfect solution to the iPhone’s one major shortcoming.
