There’s nothing very funny, profound or interesting to say about Bluetooth headsets, is there? Most of them are terrible, fall out of your ear and have appalling sound quality. The Plantronics Voyager 520 is a little gem, however, and infinitely better than anything else you’re likely to come across. The sound quality is superb. It stays shoved in your ear where you want it to be and doesn’t look too bad. It’s also light as a feather. It paired with my Motorola V3i without any problems. The batteries seem to last for about a week of normal use (providing you do the right thing by the environment and switch it off at night). What more can you ask? I have only one slight quibble – it’s a bit loud. I set everything to minimum and it was still too loud. Now I have a bit of cotton wool shoved in the speaker bit of the headset. That did the trick perfectly. Cost: About £40 (or US$80) |
