I also used them to great effect whilst walking the South West Coast Path. Again, they repelled water like a BP oil slick off Louisiana, keeping me nice and dry. They were easy enough to put on and take off on those days when the weather couldn't make up it's mind. If you have great big clod-hopping boots like me you might have to wiggle your feet around a bit though. One word of caution. The Drilliums are made from a very lightweight flavour of eVent fabric which means they're not as tough as some trousers made by Rab and others. They're fine for general use but just don't go scrambling over scree or scaling boulders in them and expect them to last a lifetime. They'll repel sharp rocks and thorns for a while but sooner or later one of them will rip a hole. But that's the price you pay for lightness. All in all a great pair of waterproof trousers. Expect to pay around £90 for a pair.
