Ailsa's suffering began in 1998 following a bout of glandular fever. At the time she was a bright, gregarious politics and philosophy student at Durham University. But the disease robbed her of drive and energy, eventually forcing her to leave university and return home to her parents. Over the following months she became weaker and weaker and was eventually diagnosed with ME, a disease which leaves the sufferer listless and bed-ridden. It also left Ailsa in intense pain.
Over the following four months, Ailsa returned every week to complete the healing. Within a few months she was able to go shopping and walk from one side of Newcastle to the other.

written by Mr. Observer, Indianapolis, February 18, 2008 Perhaps we should pray for others on a daily basis and release them into God's care. ...
written by Caroline, February 18, 2008 I dont understand the aggression behind this topic. I am a healer and I find that I can help many people for different things. It is not a miracle cure, it does not fix everything. I have studied to be a healer- it is a 4 year course, so I feel it is correct to charge for my service. I do not force people to come to me because it helps them. There is no reason for the bitterness I see in some of the comment on this page. Do you feel bitter about dental treatment you don't use? Not all dental treatment is very good for you but it does not seem to bring out the vitrol that healing brings out. The principle behind healing is simple enough science. It is energy work and as you are made up of energy it is not so difficult to understand how it can be effective. In general we think in very Newtonian- outdated- science. We think of ourselves as solid objects when in fact we are made up of layers of energy fields. So energy work in much more in alignment then much of medicine. Don't get me wtong medicine also has a large role to play. When someone dies of cancer after using chemo or radiotherapy,it is accepted that they were going to die. If they have dared to use alternative medicine it is considered a failure on the part of alternative medicine. If they were useing both they failure will only be in the alternative medicine. Amazing. I think this is the next big development for humanity. You can happily ignore just as you can ignore the technology of computers but you will miss out on something amazing. ...
written by Mary Blue Moon, February 17, 2008 Since humans have walked the earth, energy healing has existed. Medical science is quite young compared to the age of humans - how do you all believe we survived so many millenia without it if not for energy healing? ...

written by Bill the Believer, February 17, 2008 Boy, do I feel for Brian! I'm 68 and the stuff I've seen in that time I wouldn't believe if I hadn't seen it myself. Some I hope never to see again. If we don't have the Lord, what else is worth having? Someday, hopefully, Brian will get an eyeopener. ...
written by Bill the Believer, February 16, 2008 I have a close friend who became ordained and is wonderful at healing thru prayer. I call him the "Big Guns". Whenever I or a friend is ill I give him a call. Results within hours. I've always known the power of prayer but this guy is spectacular. He is really good at curing staph infections. Prayer works but the more righteous the believer the better it works. ...
written by Iconoclast, February 16, 2008 So.... a complementary medicine student (they will give qualifications in ANY subject now) gets cured of ME by faith healing. Well, im convinced. What next? A herbalist cured of a runny nose? ...
written by Mea Cadwell, February 16, 2008 Until it is PROVEN impossible there is always a chance that it could be possible. Until the time it IS proven impossible, if it helps people, then there is nothing wrong with it. ...
written by Ann, February 15, 2008 Brian, didn't you read the article. Obviously, it isn't "a bunch of crap" to Ailsa, who was skeptical at first, and Professor Harald Walach, who takes her case seriously. This is so revealing about skeptics. They seem to suffer from a better-than-thou attitude, a superiority complex with an attitude of "hey, I'm right, your wrong - end of story" as Brian does. Or, they read in-between the lines and create their own story behind the story, as if someone is lying or something in the story. It's also apparent they don't read, except maybe what they want to read, or . . . maybe they just can't! ...
written by Brian, February 15, 2008 *dies laughing* What a bunch of crap. What next- She wins the lottery because magic fairies told her the right numbers? Faith ANYTHING is a line of bull concocted by charlatans, crooks, and liars intent on getting the last dime of their victims- and use shills to make the stories seem real. And the media buys it, hook, line, sinker, boat AND lake. |
