When I appeared on Channel 4's Richard & Judy programme as a guinea pig for the No Diet Diet I didn’t realise just how much my life was about to change for the better. Over the first five weeks I lost eight pounds in weight and became immeasurably happier. I didn’t have to go on a diet or do loads of exercise. I lost weight simply by changing my daily routines and breaking a collection of habits I didn’t even realise I had.

Before I started the Programme outlined in this book, I was piling on the weight at a frightening rate and becoming increasingly unhappy and bored with my life. I was becoming fat and no matter what I did, I just couldn’t lose weight permanently. Each day I’d wake up feeling low. I also felt guilty. I had everything I’d always wanted in life; a lovely husband, a fantastic daughter and a delightful house. Despite all this, I wasn’t happy. I’d even begun to dislike myself. Deep down I knew I was capable of turning my life around and losing weight but no matter what I did, I seemed to fail. I just kept on piling on the pounds.

Over the years I’d tried a great many diets but none worked. Each one promised to help me lose huge amounts of weight in record time but every one, without exception, failed me. The No Diet Diet is the first weight loss programme I’ve come across that actually helps you lose weight permanently.

I now realise that most overweight people are stuck in a rut. They are trapped by a network of deeply buried bad habits that imprison them. They often don’t know what these habits are because they are so deeply buried in the way they think and behave. Until these habits are broken, permanent weight loss will remain just a dream. The No Diet Diet helps you break these bad habits effortlessly.

Once I started breaking my bad habits my appetite naturally declined. I didn’t have to diet or consciously cut back on my food at all, nor did I have to do loads of exercise. This is what I loved most about the No Diet Diet: being able to eat whatever I wanted without feeling guilty or deprived in any way. Absolutely nothing is forbidden.
As well as a slimmer body, the No Diet Diet has given me a renewed love of life. I used to be a couch potato but now, not only have I lost weight, I’ve also taken up walking, cycling and skiing. I do regular charity work and I’m about to do a 60km walk in aid of breast cancer research. I genuinely love doing all of these things. They make me feel better about myself and I’m also helping others. Every day I feel happy, contented and much more positive about life. The No Diet Diet has given all this to me – and I’ve also lost weight!

I’ll be honest. I didn’t expect the No Diet Diet to work. Even though it was developed by respected scientists I simply didn’t believe them. I was eventually persuaded by the Richard & Judy team to give it a try. I dread to think what my life would be like now if I hadn’t tried it.

So what exactly did the No Diet Diet do for me?
- I lost weight quickly and with no effort whatsoever.
- I could eat whatever I wanted without feeling guilty or deprived.
- My appetite declined and became in tune with what my body actually wanted to eat.
- I have more time to devote to my family – and to enjoying life.
- I took up walking, cycling and skiing. Not because a diet book told me to but because I genuinely wanted to.
- I now have a ‘can do’ attitude which means I make the most of the opportunities that come my way.
- I’m happier and far more contented.

Please listen to the authors of this book. They have discovered the secret of losing weight. It does work. It worked for me and it can work for you.
